Trails and Landscapes
Hiking and cycling routes are abundant and offer varying levels of difficulty, allowing visitors of all ages to enjoy the rural landscape.
The main route is the GR-175, a 104 km trail that covers the three Cistercian monasteries: Vallbona de les Monges, Santes Creus, and Poblet, offering a spectacular journey through the religious and natural heritage of the region. Additionally, the recently restored Carthusian monastery of Escaladei is not far away and also worth a visit. For hikers, there are other marked trails and two specially equipped parks—one with barbecues and a fountain, and another with fitness facilities.
Sports and Adventure
Besides hiking and cycling, Belltall is a meeting point for paragliding enthusiasts. The local topography and the “marinada” breeze provide ideal conditions for this sport. There are also routes offering views of the sea or the peaks of the Pyrenees, including Aneto, Andorra, and Pedraforca, making this area a living canvas of nature at its finest.
Ideal Climate for Adventures
Winter brings with it the dry cold of the “seré” wind, while summers transform the landscape with intense heat, moderated by the refreshing evening “marinada” breeze. These climatic conditions add a dynamic element to any outdoor activity in the region.
